FTA Day (25 March 2022)

Into its 3rd edition,  FTA Day (Free Trade Agreement Day) 2022 will address pressing issues that businesses in Singapore face relating to supply chains, cross-border trade and investment, and building resilience in business processes through the adoption of FTAs.  Themed “Redefining Trade Agreements for a Competitive, Digital and Sustainable Future”, the event will highlight mega-regional FTAs such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), and how economic agreements can help businesses harness new opportunities especially in the areas of sustainability and the digital economy. With Minister for Transport & Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations Mr S Iswaran as the Guest-of-Honour, the event will feature three plenaries:

  • Plenary 1: Regional Trade Agreements and the Future of Trade: Trend of Mega-Regional FTAs
  • Plenary 2: Harnessing Opportunities in the Digital Economy
  • Plenary 3: Business, Trade and Sustainability
