The inaugural Future of Trade Forum builds upon Singapore’s flagship FTA Day of past years as a high-level private-public platform bringing together policymakers, top business executives, trade-focused organisations, and other major stakeholders to engage on a full gamut of issues on global trade, including and beyond FTAs, that affects the competitiveness of businesses in Singapore and the region.

The 2024 theme, “End of BAU: Global Trade at a Crossroads” addresses trade issues arising from an increasingly challenging global business environment marked by challenges to the multilateral trading system such as increased use of trade restrictions, more complex regulations, greater uncertainty in policy and macroeconomic conditions, and new imperatives on sustainability.
